It's very interesting to read these posts, even though I haven't watched the series yet. I am a little wary about watching it/reading the books, since I'm quite a fan of Anne Boleyn, so if they are that biased in Cromwell's favour... then there are the Shardlake novels of course, whose Cromwell can hardly be called heroic.

Richard Rich is such an odd person in hindsight. He was basically a living stereotype. I'm still wondering that nobody ever kicked him to the curb, considering how often and rather obviously he switched sides.
