Huh. I don't think I know another superhero whose mother ran off to become a nun, so it's at least original. :) Also my inner history geek can't help but reflect this actually happened to Peter Abaelard and his sister in their youth, only in their case BOTH parents ran off to become a monk and nun respectively. How much this influenced Abaelard's later career and relationship decisions both pre and post castration, I have no idea.
