I'm not against having a problem with fandom trends. I was not, for example, fond of the extensive bashing of female characters that fandom of yore seemed to feel was essential to get a slash ship together. And it does sometimes seem that the character that gets the least fic is the non-white character, though that's getting better lately too. But it remains possible that there are more effective ways to discuss this kind of thing than screaming at each other on tumblr. Like anything on earth.
