I've seen criticism that there are no great cinematic shots and that this could have been a tv movie

Utterly puzzling criticism to me. Is cinema defined by sensation and visual pyrotechnics? I went to this movie in a theater and considered it a good use of my time; it told its story straightforwardly and well.
