Right - isn't Walter Scott basically credited with inventing kilts? (Am exaggarating for comic effect, but you know what I mean.)

Back when I first read American Gods, I looked up Easter/Eostre of the Dawn, whom I did not remember from the mythology, and bascically my dictionary told me Jacob Grimm made her up. (Well, came to the wrong conclusion about her existence, not deliberately invented.) Which strikes me as a very AG twist.
