Oh, I don't blame you, I bounced hard off the show during my initial attempt to watch it back when it was first broadcast, too. But bimo liked it a lot and finally convinced me to watch the fourth season which she said was its own thing (with new writers), save for the finale, and I did indeed like it, though not so much that I felt compelled to get the first three seasons. Now Discovery has put me in the mood for more ST, and Netflix has all the ST shows available anyway, so I thought, why not? I might as well. I feel far more mellow this time around, but I would not reccommend it to you. Discovery, otoh....
