Indeed. I mean, I know Alexandre the Musketeer author showed up in at least one movie in the last decade, because there was controversy about the casting (he was played by Gerard Depardieu*), but the big family outing still does not have happened, as far as I know.


*not a bad fit, acting persona-wise, given AD was larger than life and an extrovert, but given AD had to put up with racism all his life and after, was a poc and that in this day and age you really shouldn't claim anymore that there aren't plenty of French poc actors available, terrible idea.
