I must have watched S&S dozens of times since it came out when I was a kid, and every time I watch it, I appreciate the screenplay more. Emma Thompson did an incredible job with it. Obviously everything else about the film--direction, casting, production design, music--is also incredibly well done, but it's the screenplay that stands out to me.

I absolutely adore the new Emma-with-a-period, but Clueless is still probably the best Emma adaptation. SO GOOD.
