Yeah, I very much enjoyed WandaVision up until the last two episodes - I was actually pleased that Wanda let everyone go as soon as she was clearly in charge, but she didn't apologise or offer herself up for punishment...but Monica's line really turned the whole thing into "Pls feel sorry for poor little Wanda" rather than letting the character stand on her own. Which she was perfectly capable of doing!
Hayward's actual motive was to use Wanda to power up his copy of Vision that he'd been experimenting on, so I'm perfectly happy for him to be the villain - and they set it up early by him casually admitting that he had Vision's body when he was trying to villainise Wanda for "stealing" it.
