That did occur to me, but I quickly dismissed it because like I said, there's no way the show is going to give up on the Din and Grogu dynamic, which means they'll be reunited the next season, whether or not a time jump happens. And seasons 1 and 2 take place fairly early after Return of the Jedi; Luke in his cameo at the end looks like he was constructed from footage of that film, whereas Luke in the flashback in The Last Jedi when he has that moment of almost killing his nephew already looks decades older. So by the time Ben goes Dark Side, Grogu and Luke will definitely have parted ways.
