Non-binary Minbari: yes, that‘s why Delenn in the B5 pilot has a slightly different make-up - make her look more male/androgynous, and a lower voice. Which promptly got bad reviews from the test audience, so the network nixed it.
In s4, JMS played a prank on his cast - he wrote a fake script for „The Exercise of Vital Powers“ in which G‘Kar transforms into a female and at the end of the episode, he and Londo have sex - and in the directions included in the script, he wrote that now at last he‘ll be able to do what he wanted to do for the Minbari in the pilot. The fake script was duly given to the cast who phoned each other stunned, but believed this was genuine precisely because of the allusion to the Minbari thing, which everyone remembered. (This lasted until JMs had his fun and handed out the real script. BTW, behold the marvel of a man who at this point already writing all the scripts writing two of them.) I remember first hearing the story as told by Richard Biggs in the hiatus between s4 and s5 when he was at a con in Munich; it was told pretty much by every cast member and JMS there after, and at one point JMS even published the Londo/G‘Kar scene which contained the immortal line „you may have conquered my world, Centauri, but you did not conquer me!“. (When I wrote my very first slash story, I of course had to work that in.)
