Alas I don't think we'll see a Picard-esque Ds9 sequel and more's the pity. The continuation novels took in a different direction and the MMO follow suit iirc.
Just thinking about this I guess the difference is partly due to the different in show running. JMS had b5 planned out ahead of time while Ds9 was written more on the fly. So JMS would have been left with a hole in the plot that needed filling while Ds9 had a whole in their ensemble they could play with.
I wonder if Jadzia had left earlier or Ds9 had gone on longer what the response to an Ezri with longer screentime would have been.
