Well, the changes in headwriters/producers certainly explains at least some of the disregard of the previous show, but it doesn't make it better to stomach for me. This is my venting my disappointment post; afterwards, I won't go on endlessly complaining about this season, because I know how that feels when others do it and I'm the one who liked the media content they're complaining about, but like I said earlier: for me, the show ended with season 2.
