I LOVED Bodies, and all the people, but especially Shahara and Iris. Charlie/Karl was wonderful too ("The matinee idol in the sharp suit"). I was BOGGLED to learn that the hottie 1890s DI is the same actor as the terrible young jerk in Andor! I did not recognize him at all. I really loved Iris going "We can save everybody" -- her arc is sort of an interesting parallel to Elias/Julian's -- and Shahara embracing her younger self. And the way Julian calls Elias "son" at the end! It did kinda break my heart when they all DIDN'T KNOW EACH OTHER, but Charlie letting Esther go and her radiant smile just about made up for it. (Surely they will see each other around....) It was so tight and suspenseful, really well done. The cutting between timelines and the use of split screens was so creative.

I will say that the gore was almost too much for me and I had to look away at a bunch of points, especially a couple involving EYES. AUGH.

Oh, I thought (spoiler) somehow coming back and knowing her name in 2023 was total sequel bait -- it makes no sense, since (spoiler) was a child right after the original bomb whose first memory was watching her mother die. That suggests she'd be about six at the most. So she and Defoe could definitely still be born, but their lives and the future would be entirely different. The Throat was blown up, wasn't it?

T took great fun in saying "Know you are loved!" loudly and earnestly to me at random times right after we finished it. "AAAAH SHUT UP -- "
