You're the second person who has rec'd that to me recently. I'll have to note it -- I'm waiting until I have access to a university library, this fall, which will hopefully have lots of adaptations. Not to mention comic books. (No, seriously).
The Scottish play is one of those i haven't thought about in a long time -- I saw a production in college (twice) that made me thoroughly happy, really playing with the absurd comedy of the Macbeths' situation (on the other hand, the actors clearly didn't know how to stage swordfight, so the director got around that by having them punch each other in the final scene, and Macduff drown Macbeth in some kind of puddle; ahh, college theater, good times).
Randomly, in my fanon, Wesley's middle name is Malcolm, and in one of my AU's, he gave that name to his son. I'm fairly certain I was thinking of Firefly rather than Macbeth, though. (And now I've got River playing Ophelia in my head).
