This should be the canon backstory for Nathan and Meredith. It should be because it feels so right and explains so much about their relationship. I've always felt that Meredith was more to Nathan than just a casual pickup. Having Linderman there to manipulate Nathan makes me wonder if he knew something about Meredith beforehand, and if he has tried to set up more couples with the heroes gene before.
