Which was the one thing of Runaways I had been spoiled for thanks to certain indiscreet people mentioning it above cut a lot in their ljs when news got out that Joss would take over the series once Vaughan quit. (BTW, have you read that recent interview where JW and BKV go all fanboy at each other and speculate about crossover fic and who would slash with whom? (They both agree Willow/Niko would be way too obvious and thus boring. Joss said Xander/Chas for the hell of it.) It occurs to me that I was following the mood swing there as well, starting light heartedly and then going Wrath of Khan on people.
