Ooh! Lovely write up. I haven't caught Casanova yet, but now I want to watch it now, now now.

I'd also suggest Tennant in "The Quartermass Experiment" remake they did. Funnily enough, he plays a doctor who's having a relationship with Indira Varma (Suzie Costello) but the character is just so different from The Doctor.
