But yes, given that River's very existence in the future of the Doctor's timeline demonstrates he'll go on having intense long term relationships with people not Rose I can see why mono shippers would be upset. (However, I also have Rose/Doctor shippers on my flist who are entirely rational about this. Sadly, it's always the extremists who stand out.)
