Yes, exactly, that works only if you take this deleted scene into account, and definitely gives Nathan's urgency to help Angela later another layer. It's a big thing for her, too, asking for his help - I don't think we've ever seen Angela do this with anyone; usually she tells (as i commands) people to do something, as with Peter in Out of Time when she tells him he needs to go back, or she tries to insinuate and manipulate, but she doesn't point blank ask for help. And the emotions are so intense on both their sides - it should never have been cut out, curse it.
