When the neighbour's babby-daddy had to leave on account of a "burglary and homicide", I was so sure that he was going to run into Cameron and John.
Me too. I think the writers knew that, and phrased it that way to mess with our minds for a second.
I love that too. But I think it's also possible that he didn't know - that the time lines are separate enough that the John who sent Cameron back wasn't a John who knew a Cameron from his teens.
It's possible, but the Kyle Reese precedence argues otherwise, i.e. the John who sent Kyle back definitely knew what he was doing.
Catherine Weaver: it occured to me that if individual Terminators can achieve self awareness and free choice - such as Cameron, possibly Weaver, and Cromartie only if we take his decision to spare Ellison as something more than pure tactics - then they might want to wish to avoid being reprogrammed by either Skynet or the Resistance. On the other hand, if there is no Skynet, they will never exist to begin with. So if Weaver has a goal beyond simply fulfilling Skynet's bidding, it might be to find out how she can exist independently on a long term basis?
