Oh, that's a good point! I don't generally think of Terminator 3 as canon for TSCC, so I tend to forget to take it into account. But you are right that we should probably consider if canon for T2, in the sense that the terminator from T2 was probably sent back from the same timeline as T3, and therefore it must have been John's wife who sent it back. The fact that the timeline of TSCC has since diverged so far from T3 doesn't mean that we can discount it in relation to the Arnie terminator.
Which makes me wonder just which timeline Future!John sent Cameron from, given that there is no doubt that it was Future!John who sent her, and one of her first tasks was to help Sarah and past!John prevent the events in T3 from happening.

But you are right that if John's wife from T3 sent Arnie, then he wouldn't necessarily fit the pattern of all the other people John sent back. :D
