Ledworth as the village? I didn't assume Ledworth was sinister per se, but I was wondering whether it would turn out to be partly virtual because it resembled the world CAL created for Donna & Co. a bit.
Re: omnisexual 51st century, I dimly remember reading a Moffat interview where he said the existence (though not the personality) of Jack was actually RTD's idea, as in "how about an omnisexual conman"; he then made a person out of the premise. However, River is definitely exclusively the Moff, and going by her "because I don't fancy you" remark to what's his name as to why everyone else has to take their helmets off, and now her quip about having dated an Auton once, she's meant to be omnisexual as well. So there might be more next season. But yes, it's odd that Craig's "girlfriend... or boyfriend?" was the only mention of even the possibility that a man might not date a woman by necessity, and that was in a Gareth "51 critics just punched the air!" Roberts script, not in a Moffat one. And no casually gay characters like the Cassinis or Lady Edgworth's son and the servant.
As an irreverent aside, and because I forgot to mention it in the main review: we do get a Scottish agenda, though. I'm still waiting for the Doctor to mention he once used the accent himself, or has he already confessed and I missed it somehow?
