Yes yes yes, that exactly. They're so real, not saints, and I love them to bits. The Owen Harper comment (and that scene in general) were so very wonderful and really made it feel like Torchwood series 4 to me and not a new show.
It occurs to me Jack has used "Harper" as an alias before - in "Captain Jack Harkness", when he couldn't introduce himself to Real Jack under his usual name - but here it was just the right kind of touch to connect with old viewers without puzzling new viewers, something RTD has always been good at. It so makes sense that Jack would pick Owen's name for an autopsy. Of a man who should have died but didn't, no less.
