The other one I'd throw in is Fausta. In my head, she gave the order to kill Clodius (because Milo really was unconscious at the time). Cicero makes such a big deal of Milo's wife being with him, as proof that he couldn't have been planning a fight. But one imagines that Fausta was capable of improvising!
Actually, thinking of the killing of Clodius, and Cicero's remark about how unusual it was for him to travel without his wife... why has no one written a novel about Fulvia? Or have I missed it?
