honorh, the perfect way to send out 2012 with a smile: the gag reel of s2 of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Very funny even if, unlike yours truly, you aren't a TNG fan. Watch Patrick Stewart cuddle, Michael Dorn being unable to keep a straight face, and the whole lot of them coming across with that joyful-around-each-other aura I remember from conventions. Has bonus Gene Roddenberry at the end!
