I may not have seen the Doctor yet, but...
I did see Zeppelins, and some of the most spectacularly beautiful parts of the Bodensee, which is where Germany, Switzerland and Austria meet. I mean:

The Island Mainau, seen from the ferry leaving Konstanz. (I had some pics of Konstanz, too, but the weather was worse then and thus they're rather cloudy.)

The castle on it.

The Silhouette Meersburg, among the last clouds we were to see that day. They're about to clear up. That was also when I spotted the first Zeppelin. They're all over the Bodensee, because a) they're made there, and b) the Inventor was a local boy. Many more and sharper Zeppelins to come!

Meersburg, with the castle above.

One of our most famous poets, Annette von Droste-Hülshoff, often referred to simply as either "die Droste" or "Annette", lived most of her life in her native Westfalia but spent some crucial time here, having an intense relationship with a decades younger man and writing some of her most magnificent poetry. Well, it is an inspiring place! They put a bust of her in front of it, too.

Mind you, during the Rokoko the gentry moved out of said ca stle and into this place:

The rest of Meersburg is exceedingly pretty, too.

Then we went to Überlingen, where you have this view of the lake.

And wouldn't you know it...

They get inventive with their fountains at Überlingen:

Off we were to explore some more of the Bodensee. Have a roadside attraction:

One of the all time most beautiful towns at the Bodensee is Lindau. Now, the roads aren't bad.

Neither is the city hall:

But the harbour!

The lion is the Symbol of Bavaria. Most of the German part of the Bodensee is in Würtemberg, but Lindau is in Bavaria, thus the lion.

And then guess what showed up?

Turning around for a dramatic finale of this pic spam:

Now wasn't that a sight to see?
