Seems that British Politics show I mentioned a week or so ago has written half of their leads out (and all of those pushing for that unbelievable potline). briefly tried to promote a new female villain but then settled on making the lead one of the former minor supporting characters, also female.

I was disappointed by the way the scriptwriters fell back on the boring and predictable bitchfest motif; I felt they could have done something slightly more imaginative, given it's 2016, than one female politician crowing over another's involuntary childlessness? Very poor, I thought; very poor.

I know! Such a cliché, at this point in time? You can tell those scriptwriters are used to an nearly all-male ensemble.

Interesting sudden switch the writers have pulled, though, bringing back the player who was the lead villain last season in a markedly different supporting actor role. Is this going to be a whole new character arc or will it be played as comedy?

I'm thinking revenge plot, considering that the supporting role has to consist of him meeting all the characters he's pissed off by the previous disaster all the time. Personally, I can't wait for the crossover episode with the Turkish Politicis Horror Show where he gets to main villain, because of their backstory. These two deserve each other!
