FedCon: The end
..Aka this shall be our day of Glory, to quote from The Gift. Still the brief version, as I'm very exhausted after another long journey in the train.
Clare Kramer: Was a nice panelist, somewhere between the joking and the serious type of panelists. Explained the process of shooting action scenes (i.e. when the stunt people come in and when it's the actors) in great detail, made passionate SMG defense and love declaration to same when someone said whether it was true SMG was "not as social as the others". Must say SMG defense warmed my heart, as show is over and Clare K. has no reason to praise her if she doesn't mean it.
Real Life Astronaut Rick: Was v. interesting and v. incensed when someone suggested we hadn't made it to the moon and that it was all a big fake. Were there, too, he said. Was adorable.
Merchandise: proved stronger than me. Did buy some more stuff after all. One Mausbiber Gucky, which is a character of a German SF series called Perry Rhodan, and the third season of Xena. (Aka the one with the musical and the China episodes and The Rift.) Did not buy Darla action figure, as one was Darla from Welcome to the Hellmouth (she'd never forgive me if I bought her in that dress) and the other unrecognizable generic game face Darla from Reunion. Was v.v. amused to find there is an Arvin Sloane action figure, but alas same looked even less like Sloane. Instead of even vaguely resembling Ron Rifkin, it resembled George Bush. That's just wrong.
Train journey: Took different train, regretted it as alternate train was full and self ended up in smoker department (all overs were full). Have headache now.
And lastly, the first FedCon photos are up at
bimo's. Have a look here!

Is it good? I have a friend who raves about it, but he's really more into starship technology than actual plot or characters...

Perry Rhodan
Sounds like you had fun this weekend. :-) Wow, and you even managed a report - I never manage that after a con.

Good for her! I got sick and tired of all the bad press SMG got as the only times I've seen her on TV she was charming. Wanting to give up a role she'd played for seven years is hardly a crime, particularly a part that must have been as emotionally gruelling as Buffy sometimes was (i.e. The Body).
