So here I am, preparing for my trip to Los Angeles next week, when I try to catch up on my flist and discover, via lizbee, that David Tennant is confirmed to play Hamlet next season with the RSC... and with Patrick Stewart as Claudius.

....

Now I know I already spoiled myself last year by watching Patrick Stewart as Prospero and as Antony, but this is impossible to resist. So, next year, Stratford is back on the schedule.

Who am I kidding? I'm squeeing like mad. Tennant 'n Stewart in Hamlet!!!!!!!

Maybe they, like Ian McKellen this year, will go on tour to the states. NY is still an expense for you but less so than Stratford, so I'll cross my fingers for you.

It's the perfect highlight. Having journeyed all across Great Britain from Cornwall to Scotland last year and crowned this with two Stewart performances at Stratford, I can promise you this. DT and he on the stage, "a little more than kin and less than kind" - how can one resist?
