A trailer for the Sarah Jane Adventures, season 2. Here's where I get a bit perverse: . The trailer showing Mariah's replacement, new character Rani, as well as Maria herself, I'm curious in a "sits back and eats popcorn" kind of way whether or not SJA fandom will now follow suit to DW and TW fandom and start with the character wars. Despite the fact that they won't be shipping wars. Complete with "X can't act", "Y has better chemistry with Sarah Jane", "why does the show press X or Y on us when we're really more interested in Z", and so on, and so forth. Other than that, I'm all anticipation.

Lost and Heroes:

Puzzle Pieces is a lenghty, rich and well developed crossover between Lost and Heroes. Both of which are ensemble shows, and I do love it when fanfiction makes proper use of this, like this one. The different universes mesh well together, and some of the parallels between characters are incredibly striking. Spoilers for both seasons of Heroes and Lost until and including s4.

Belated thought - I wonder how long it'll be before someone writes a story about Rani being The Ranee with chameleon arch transformation.

There's already a ton of old skool fan theorising that Rani is the Rani chameleon arched. I think they're just teasing.

I didn't see it, but found a screencap by now, and it definitely looks like his, yes. Is it too much to hope he'll guest in the same ep as a certain someone?

I don't know, but it seems like EXACTLY the way I'd lure Tennant over to do a cameo, doesn't it?

I've been meaning to catch up on the SCC, even though I need another fandom like I need a hole in the head. Heh.

While The Sarah Connor Chronicles are worth catching up with, I was talking about the Sarah Jane Adventures here, which is a Doctor Who spin-off sarring the lady in this icon, who used to be on DW in the 70s. *g*

Hopefully, they did just as good as a job of picking a child actor to play Rani as they did for Maria, Clyde, and Luke. I could see that being probably the only downside I'd been complaining about, considering SJA is one of the few shows where I don't find the children very annoying.

I think that the trailer very definitely appears to be trying to shift the role of audience PoV from Maria to Clyde, in preparation for her departure.

*nods* Mind you, more Clyde is welcome, and I'll be curious about whether they'll continue the first season's trend to give Clyde and Luke one subplot and Sarah Jane and Rani-replacing-Maria another, or whether Maria's departure means we'll get more criss cross interaction between the characters, especially considering the pov change.

Oh, I hope not. SJA fandom generally seems...more pleasant, though, so it may not happen. Of course there's bound to be some 'new girl' resentment, that happens all the time. Hopefully, though, it won't get overwhelming.

Me, I'm sad about Maria leaving, but I'm intrigued. I hope I'll like Rani as much.

I think they will be SJA fandom will follow the DW root where people will not like character B because she not character A and spend a lot of time bashing and talking about how Sarah Jane likes more and such like. It's sad but it'll happen:(

Mean while back at the farm I'm going to wait a before jump on Rani just because she new and I love Maria.
