That's why it's good to have lj friends: mention a crazy idea o them, and they make it into a reality! [livejournal.com profile] hobsonphile has created the Londothon. Now, if you've read my ramblings for a longer time, you already now this, but if you're just a casual visitor or read this lj for the first time: Londo Mollari is my favourite fictional character of all time, full stop. Keep all the hunky vampires and leather-clad heros of the 'verse and give me my middle-aged, overweight Centauri with a ridiculous hairstyle and the blood of millions on his hands. (The fact he's also witty, eloquent, funny, tragic, capable of great affection, great bravery and dastardly deeds also helps.) Join up, write about him. You won't regret it: I can assure everyone that Londo is a wonderful muse, though he isn't that good at shutting up once he starts to talk to you.

[livejournal.com profile] kernezelda wrote a Blake's 7/Farscape crossover of the special kind: "Just Deserts", a Servalan/Scorpius pairing. Absolutely plausible and in character for both, too. Ah, Servalan. Stil my favourite villainess. (One reason why pale imitations like Grayza irritate. The original would disdainfully lift an eyebrow and eat her for lunch.) I do remember asking [livejournal.com profile] hmpf a year or two ago on whose survival she would bet in just such a constallation...

I watched Spirited Away and was as charmed as I was by Princess Mononoke. As its predecessor, it's genuinly magical, and avoids all black-and-white-ness in its storytelling.

Spirited away and Princess Mononoke? These are my liked anime! I congratulate you! I am glad, they have liked you, too.
And about Londo. After G'Kar and Na'Toth, Londo is my most loved character of a serial. And I repeat again. I very glad, he has got to you. ^__^
You have presented to citizen Na'Toth a poem... I am compelled to admit. I write verses and songs. Only about B5 (oddly, but its true) and mostly they are devoted to Mollari.
Unfortunately, I can not translate them to English qualitatively... Alas!
But I can send mp3 file (I shall compress it more feasibly that was smaller) with any song about Londo... If your mailbox will sustain it. ^_*

They're beautiful films.

Songs and verses? I'm impressed. And yes, I'd like to hear the songs at least. Try my mailbox: selenak at gmail.com

However, I'm in Berlin tomorrow, so won't have an opportunity to download them until Friday.

Regarding Londo and music, check out the outrageous RP going on at his most recent lj entry...

He. You know, as I'm off to Berlin tomorrow, the karaoke session will probably be interrupted until Friday afternoon, but then it will continue (and once G'Kar has gotten off stage, he can reunite with Na'Toth).

Isn't it beautiful? I think I like it more than Mononoke, although I really need to watch that again.

Now I need to make you watch Perfect Blue and Ghost in the Shell ...

Very beautiful. Though I liked Mononoke just a tiny bit better, probably because I was in an epic vein when watching it. Also, English dialogue written by Our Neil! Whereas I watched Spirited Away in German. Dialogue decidedly not written by Mr. Gaiman.

I haven't actually seen the version of Mononoke Our Neil contributed to - several years of watching anime with subtitles really spoils you for any dubbed version. Voice acting has much better recognition as an artform in Japan, and as a result the quality is much higher overall.
