You know, that's never how I took this scene. After all, Clara's interference only came after the earlier interference by what's his name, the guy from Snowmen. I.e. I'm assuming it went thusly:

a) Original timeline: Doctor and TARDIS find each other.
b) Altered timeline: Guy from Snowmen prevents Doctor and TARDIS finding each other.
c) Altered back timeline: Clara, to counteract the earlier alteration, points the Doctor towards the TARDIS in order to set things back to how they're supposed to be.
