Yes!

Now about that final image... does that mean Madame Kali/Evelyn is really Elizabeth Bathory? Who after all was Vlad Tepes' countrywoman. And is the person famous for bathing in blood who immediately came to mind.. Alternatively, "when Lucifer fell, he didn't fall alone" could of course mean that she's one of the other fallen angels? For the record, I'm still not on board with using THE devil in genre tv; it never goes well.

Admittedly the first thing other than "Bathory" I thought after seeing the complete trailer was "witches!" Who are traditionally associated with the devil, of course, and could easily be connected to a woman who fears aging enough to become a serial killer.

Do you have any associations for the man with the huge eye patch? I keep wondering if this is another familiar character.

Did you see who dances with Vanessa in a blink-and-you-miss-it moment? Looks like someone is finally getting a more active social life.

Meanwhile, Dorian swooning over Vanessa's portrait made me want to laugh at him again. I don't know what the poor man has done to me.

Wellll it is quite a tight angle. I can't imagine she's actually still living without being institutionalised or otherwise out of the picture...

Witches! I hear that Evelyn's daughter is going to play a role, and her name *is* "Hecate". I mean, if you're gonna have witches, why not name one of them after the goddess of witches?

John Logan keeps dropping Island of Doctor Moreau references, though he might be saving that for season 3. Honestly, he looks EXACTLY like Beric Dondarrion from "Game of Thrones", so I dunno, a semi-immortal knight with a drinking problem?

<33333 I do love that you came to the same conclusion I did.

[Honestly, I'd be cool if she were simply Bathory with a witchy spin. I just REALLY like her as Ayesha, and I want to bounce more immortal types off Dorian to give him SOMETHING to do other than moon over Vanessa.]

Well, maybe Eyepatch Guy is a new friend for Dorian. Or maybe even an old one?

Yes, yes, me, too. *rubs hands*

Mr. Hyde is possible! Or it is one of Dr. Moreau's unfortunate Animal people, as d_generate_girl points out below that John Logan has been throwing around the book title several times. The eye that is visible certainly looks rather unusual.

It would certainly fit the mind that thought of calling the new main antagonist
Evelyn...*g*

Yes, Logan does, and I could see Patchy as an Animal Man trying to hide some too obviously beastly features. For some reason I was also wondering if he's somehow connected to Dorian. There should be some sort of Basil even if they don't want to follow the book's story, no?

He reminded me of Stark from "Farscape," but Ser Beric works, too. The actor definitely isn't the same, though. I think this is the guy whose role has been called pretty important - without revealing what it was, naturally.

Archnemesis, clearly. I mean, Victor resurrects people, making them whole again. That is completely different from making people from animals. Not even remotely the same! (Ethan is different, of course. That's a curse. Curses don't count, and he's basically a normal person. Who's a bit grumpier on a full moon.)

If this isn't Victor's attitude *exactly*, I will be so disappointed. I love how prickly-schoolboy-genius Treadaway plays Victor as, and I can see him getting snotty if too many people were comparing him to Moreau.
