Joseph Fink linked to some choice tweets and had some words to say which boiled down to "if you don't like it, don't listen to it." (a bit more polite, since he's a polite guy.)

And I really don't know how anyone could miss that, really. I think you have to have a very strong conviction that a protagonist is straight by default not to notice. For me, it was mostly a question if they make it explicit or not - I've become jaded by years of "almost" text - and I rejoiced when they did.
