There were over 20 000 refugees coming from Hungary to Munich over the weekend, though by now a part of the travels onwards to other German provinces; there were similar receptions at the Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Dortmund train stations. Here's a short English language reporting:

I remember stumbling across a letter like this in one of my high school history text books. It was the first time I really pinged to the idea that historical people weren't mythical creatures, but were actually very similar to us.

I'm having trouble following the refugee crisis. It's such a terrible situation, but things like this do make it a little bit better.

Things like this help me a little through all the other news, because most times whenver a politician (from whichever country) opens his/her mouth re: refugee crisis, it's so infuriating.
