YEAH, I thought 'Selkie Bride' might be you! There was way too much stuff in there that was just up my alley that I thought it must be either you or someone from Shakespeare histories fandom (especially when I got to 'Emily in boy's clothing') + something about Emily's whole attitude + various discussions we've had about literary tropes over the years made you the prime suspect. Thanks so much for this thoughtful take on one of my favorite stories. I need to grab more people by the lapels and make sure they read it!
I need to look at the 'Rome' story as well, that sounds delightful, and thanks for looking out for your friends having hard years <3. I'd love to get some fandom & writing groove back in 2018 but there is still A LOT GOING ON.
