I stand by my theory that Eleanor's grandmother was probably originally written for Maggie Smith

I just realised Berringer was played by Stephens' brother! And yes absolutely it would have been amazing both on-screen and in meta-narrative if Maggie Smith had played Eleanor's grandmother, considering Eleanor and Flint's relationship.
