eeeeee Hotham as the Doctor and Lehndorff getting to have adventures with him! :D That is amazing, that explains everything! And also now I have a fix-it for Lehndorff where he gets to have adventures AND make the choice for himself to go back to Prussia, and to Heinrich -- and I am just really in love with the idea that in this story he gets to make the choice <3333 (And since the Tenth Doctor was the one I had in my head anyway due to your showing me clips of the Doctor and Reinette, I even have the right picture and it is an awesome one :D ) And a solution to why none of this is mentioned in his diaries, and why Hotham just disappears! :D
Finding "Hotham's" primary affections elsewhere engaged was something of a downer (been there, done that, thinks Lehndorff)

Turns out Fritz hid that MacGuffin at a place none of his enemies would think to look, i.e. at his wife's palace.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA omg this is the greatest punchline, it is true, I would not have thought to look there!
The whole thing culminates in Frederick, Bach and the Doctor playing a trio, though both Bach and Frederick are somewhat curious about the Doctor's choice of instrument - an electric guitar.
heeeee! Would watch/listen! Frederick would be extremely negative about the electric guitar, and Bach would have to overcome some distaste but would get interested in it and end up inventing rock music centuries ahead of his time (only, rock music with more counterpoint than we're accustomed to) :D

brother No.3, Henry, is, and with him as closest advisor and AW's unofficial PM the rise of Prussia happens more or less exactly the same way.

For Fritz and Wilhelmine! <3 And, after thinking a lot in the last couple of months about how terrible it was that Katte and Fritz didn't get that last meeting, I'm so happy that at least they can have that closure in Whoverse <3 And lol forever to your having the MT/Fritz marriage rearing its head yet again :D ALSO.
