OMG, yes. Sydney probably would be stuck with having to explain to them what happened. They just might decide she's a Russian plant and that they won't believe her and try and escape this obviously faked environment...

Syd would be rescuing them from the evil lab, clearly. Then they'd run away and she'd have to go find them before they could get themselves into serious trouble, what with them having no idea how to survive daily life in 2005, let alone do Spy Stuff. And it would be even better if Nadia was with Sydney at the time.
