Ah, it's back - thanks for the heads up. Will have to check it out. I rather liked S1. (Like you, I'm not a Tolkien purist. While I loved the Tolkien books when I read them - that was in the late 1970s and early 80s when I was a kid, which was over a century ago, and I have little to no memory of them.)
