Good news, bad news, and a story
Sep. 29th, 2003 04:36 pmMy, my, my. This is certainly the day of the download. I finally coaxed my computer to give me a good version of the RotK trailer and am in fannish ecstasy about it. Then ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
honorh told me there is a Smashed clip making the rounds, which I found thanks to wisteria_. Now call me a decadent European, but I don't see this version as more explicit than what was broadcast. (Both are hot, naturally.) Next, I tried in vain to download AtS 5.1; each time, the computer went on strike when there were only two or so minutes left, but strangely not a single byte was on my computer once I had restarted it. Hours in vain. I shudder to think of my phone bill this month.
(Am still spoiler free, though.)
Here is a good debate about the House System in Harry Potter, and what it implies about free choice versus destiny.
Lastly,andrastewhite posted a great Seven Virtues story for Scorpius at her lj. Which inspired hobsonphile suggest this for Bester. This in turn proved to be an irresistable idea for me, so I asked hobsonphile for permission and upon receiving it gave in to my Babylon 5 muse once more. The yet un-beta'd result is here. Seven contrary virtues to counteract the seven deadly sins for B5's very own Man In Black, Alfred Bester. Spoilers for all five seasons; I'm also using the Psi Corps trilogy by J. Gregory Keyes as background material, but you don't have to have read it to understand the seven segments (I hope).
