Quotes, more filk, and a link

Yesterday was very busy; however, I did have the time to browse around in a nearby bookstore in between. Was very amused to see the published script for Love Actually complete with cut scenes and questionnaire for the actors as an appendix. The questionnaire, among other things, contained the questions "Whom would you want to have as your naked stand-in?" and "If you had to have sex with a Prime Minister, who would it be?" For the later question, two of the guys chickened and picked Maggie Thatcher since she's female, but the overwhelming majority went for Winston Churchill (Emma Thompson: "Imagine the pillow talk."). Tony Blair got two voices; so did Llyod George. Points for originality to Colin Firth, who picked Pitt the Younger ("not jowly"). The naked stand-in question was the opportunity for the cast to take the piss out of each other. Colin Firth again: "Hugh Grant, ten years ago." Hugh Grant: "Colin Firth, only with a better body." Alan Rickman: "Liam Neeson. Hell, almost anyone would do by now." And so on, and so forth. Keira Knightley picked Johnny Depp.*g*

Meanwhile, what have I done by melding Babylon 5 and the Beatles? Now kathyh wants Lovely Lyta, Mean Mr. Morden and While My G'Kar Gently Weeps. (My G'Kar muse immediately told me the later was out of the question; Paperback Writer is his song.) What I did come up with was an Ivanova/Talia version of Norwegian Wood, though. Again with apologies to Lennon and McCartney: Susan, at any point after Divided Loyalties.

Switching to another fandom and genre: cadesama has her X2 DVD and wrote an absolutely hilarious review in haikus, no less. (Which reminds me - altariel1 once wrote haiku summaries of Blake's 7 episodes on a mailing list - are they online somewhere?) Read the haiku version of X2 impressions here.
