1) Seen a performance of Aida in front of the temple of Deir-el-Bahri, Luxor, Egypt.

2) Asked Henry Kissinger whether he'd testify at a trial against Pinochet.

3) Gave Lebkuchen ("gingerbreads" is the dictionary translation, but it tastes very differently) to Bill Clinton.

4) Advised the German ambassador to the US to talk about Star Trek with the king of Jordan (who actually had a walk-on part in a Voyager ep)

5) Had tea with Wolfgang (grandson of Richard) Wagner & wife

6) Talked on the phone with Billy Wilder

7) Discovered and opened an unopened letter from Victor Mann to his brother Heinrich (younger and older brother of Thomas respectively, though I
resent saying that as Heinrich should be well known in his own right), which contained a photo of the Manns as children

8) Got presented with a beautiful leather belt by several Massai

9) Marched and danced with a samba school in the big parade through the Sambadrome in Rio during carnivale 2004

10) Got taken to a Bollywood party in Bombay (Mumbai) by an Indian writer
