Aug. 6th, 2005 10:07 pmIt's a busy, busy life. Nonetheless, I managed to get my two Multiverse stories written. One is already beta'd and forwarded to
andrastewhite. Phew. Am feeling no longer quite so guilty, especially since it's still some days until the deadline. Besides, now that I've done my share, I can start looking forward to finding out what everyone else wrote.
Meanwhile, there is delicious darkfic.
merrymaia pointed out a fantastic Star Wars story to me. Five ways Anakin Skywalker's life didn't go, in a way, and yet it's not. Read it.
Babylon 5:
londonkds wrote a great aftermath to Sheridan's torture in season 4 which is just the thing for folk like yours truly who have issues with the way Sheridan never showed any after effects from Intersections in Real Time. (Speaking of torture, the guy who had lend me the first season of 24 talked me into watching the second one after all. Which I actually liked better than the first, all in all, but yikes, was that the most blatant apologia for torture or what? Naturally not torture the characters the audience was meant to sympathize with went through, i.e. Kate and Jack. No, but torturing Sayid Ali and Roger Stanton is fine, because that's state-ordered torture. Oh, and executing criminals to create a cover story if we make sure to include in the dialogue first that they're pedophiles.)
If you need a break from the dark side: check out "If Shippers had been around 200 years ago". Aka tackling Jane Austen with a lj attitude. It's obviously inspired by the recent HP kerfuffles, but funny even of you never read a line by J.K Rowling in your life (yet have read plenty of Austen).
And lastly: so I hear a fantastic BSG episode was shown in the US last night. I'm totally not resenting
karabair for holding my source for this goodness hostage over the weekend. No, I'm not.
