Hamburg, and alas, only a lousy dial-up connection in my hotel. (How easily do we get spoiled!) So, briefly: all this travelling to and thro makes me get behind in reading all the fabulous fanfic the people on my list are writing. Today's entry is devoted to the Alias stories I found when trying to remedy this while valiantly fighting the aforementioned dial-up connection.

kangeiko is a deliciously disturbing look at Arvin Sloane between seasons 2 and 3. One of these days I'll have to collect the small but neat series of stories centring on what Our Arvin was up to during that time, starting with Andraste's.

And speaking of

andrastewhite, she wrote "An Honour That I Dreamed Not Of". Katya and Irina, pre-show, though this references one of the smaller mysteries of Irina's past alluded to in early season 4. Sharp, lovely and haunting, just like the Derevko sisters themselves.

yahtzee63 wrote a pre-show story as well, and one that as far as I know is the first one featuring this particular pairing, or rather, threesome. It made me very happy indeed, and not just because I love the characters involved but because she pulled it off in character for all three and their individual mixtures of thruths and self delusions.
