Aug. 3rd, 2006 03:42 pmThe things you find out via friends' friends lists. So J.K. Rowling had a reading recently, and who should be there but Salman Rushdie (with son). And Rushdie, bless him, asked her point blank whether Severus Snape is good or evil, aka the question probably most fiercely debated in Potterdom for now six books in a row, never fiercer than after book 6. (Well, unless you're a shipper of any calibre, in which case you're debating whom Hermione will end up with or whether Remus/Sirius is canon or not instead.*veg*) And Jo told him. Salman, thank you for this service to fandom, and I think I will read Shalimar after all, despite all the horrible reviews.
