Thirty Days of Fanfiction: Day Seventeen
Jul. 17th, 2011 06:36 am17 – Titles – Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?
The bane of my existence more often than not. They always come last, and are even more of a headache than summaries. Only rarely do titles come to me without major hair pulling and frustration. Taking![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
andraste's advice, if all fails, I go for the Latin. Or, taking my own advice, for Beatles songtitles. I Haven't yet managed Beatles songtitles in Latin yet, but I'm working on it. If you see an anonymous story titled Nox Diei Laboriosi, you'll know it's mine. Iuvate!
As for chaptered fic, on the rare occasions I've written it, yes, I tortured myself into titles as well. Hic, illic et ubique.
