Is there any way of getting the multiverse stories to take up the whole screen instead of being stuck in a silly little box?

Yes. Click on the button of the right side of your mouse and choose the option "open new window" (that's what it says in German anyway)...

I noticed that as well, though oddly enough not for all stories I wanted to feedback - it works for some - and wrote to andrastewhite, who'll hopefully fix that problem.
