Date: 2006-10-09 04:58 pm (UTC)Dahling, I'm a step ahead of you. Not that I can actually claim credit for the idea, as it was a ficathon prompt, but the story is The Science of Good-Byes (http://likeadeuce.livejournal.com/429309.html). (and I TRIED to make the 5/6 thing make a certain amount of sense there, though it is pretty inconcsistent). Incidentally, there's quite a lot of good fic on that little comm, and the ficathon stories were all written without season 4 spoilers, so you can read most of the ones that are posted there.
I think Danny is ultimately the star of season 3, though his role kind of sneaks up on you. Adam really comes into his own in season 4 but you get hints of what he's going to be, starting from the scene where he's both Tom and anti-Tom when talking the woman into suicide (that bit where Tom keeps saying "I would have played it that way" is quite ingenious). It's interesting to look at Adam in the ways that he is and isn't Jack Bauer -- not just in terms of his personality but the way the character is presented, which sadly, from an American POV, probably says a lot about the different audiences.
Also, did you notice the name of Adam and Fiona's son?
